I live in Merida-Venezuela. This is a Tropical country. Here not existing four seasons, there are only two. The temperature here is so intense, more in winter from months November until January when it started the rainy season, and summer from months of June until September, when the temperature is quite high. People use mechanical ventilation for provide climate comfort and that is less convenient for the planet. 3. Which are the measure you would propose? Many factors like more vegetation, major use of water, include them into landscape is important. Buildings materials, natural ventilation, vain walls, opening in ceiling, structures with elevation, colors used, etc. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? No. The UHI is not considerate in my residence area. This area just has some garden, and few threes, here is not water walls neither green parks.
