The dominant fossil fuels used in my country, India, based on the data provided by www.iea.org/sankey are: Oil (which is predominantly imported) and Coal. 2. WHERE ARE THE DOMINANT FOSSIL FUELS MAINLY USED FOR IN YOUR COUNTRY? The dominant fossil fuels in India are mostly used in Industries, and other activities. Transport follows in line after the other two. 3. IT IS YOUR TASK TO CREATE A NEW POLICY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY AND SUSTAINABLE SOURCES AND CONSUMPTION OF ENERGY OF YOUR COUNTRY. HOW WOULD YOU DO THAT? THINK OF HOW YOU CAN IMPROVE THE SOURCES AND THE CONSUMPTION OF ENERGY. India has a vast scope to harness an eco-friendly resource and that is Solar Energy, most of the country being having year round availability of the resource. The country is mostly dependent on coal and oil to supply electricity, this can be replaced with solar power generating electricity, and it should become a norm. Solar power in India is a fast growing industry. As of 30 June 2017, the country's solar grid had a cumulative capacity of 13.11 GW. India quadrupled its solar-generation capacity from 2,650 MW on 26 May 2014 to 12,289 MW on 31 March 2017. Picture source: www.iea.org/sankey
