The five cities are São Paulo, Cafelândia, Mogi das Cruzes (all of them on Brazil), Dublin and Sligo (both them on Ireland). The five characteristics of a liveable city are sustainability, infrastructure, flows in terms of needed, health place and traffic. My city is São Paulo, Brazil. São Paulo is so far to be a sustainable city! There are loads of rivers and lakes contaminate by dirty, chemistry etcetera. Besides that, in poor communities are open-air streams full of dirty water. The select bin is present in big companies and only in some regions of city the government started to collect that way (I have been leaving, for example, in a place where the select bin is going to be separated from 18 months). It is not easy to see clothes, school supplies as books and notebooks, food and recycling places around and, once you find all those stuffs, the price for it is not accessible by the most of population. The infrastructure is such a bad thing on there. We have a great company of water and the same for electricity but these companies does not attend the poor population who lives in unsafe and unliveable areas, in other words, there is no infrastructure in a huge part of the city. Speaking of flows, the good part is there are many options of market food, stores and all of it for different social class of people. The system public of transport, although chaotic, is present is the most part of the city. Health place for me would be a place with noise enough 24/7. São Paulo is a terrible place talking about noise, day and night. During the day, buses and cars making the streets and avenues a noisy place where it is almost impossible walking by and have an audible conversation. During the night, cars with music loud and people going out make people do not sleep well. The last thing and not less important is the traffic, which is heavy and stressful. Every day is visible seeing people getting stressed on their way to work as their way to home! Going beyond that, cars accidents are something very common on the traffic unorganized. Putting all these points together, I think that a perfect city should be sustainable in everything. After that, the infrastructure must attend every single place located on the territory demarked by the city. Following the idea of infrastructure, every flow and stock has to be accessible for everyone. The place where we live and we interact has be to healthy and bring some peace and safety. In addition, in order to be allow to access all these stuff, we have to get on these places (houses, market, etc). The photo is a mix of some illustrations of the city’s issues.
