Real place (could not insert the name because of the restrictions): Navidad, VI RegiĆ³n, Chile. 1.VISIBLE INFORMATION: -low density area -low traffic period of time -small town urban image. -no pedestrians using the street 2.INVISIBLE INFORMATION: -there is available space for bicycle lanes or other activities/uses if the cars park elsewhere or their use diminish -the presence of trees diminish hot temperatures in summer 3. HOW INVISIBLE INFORMATION BECOMES KNOWLEDGE: -there is available space for bicycle lanes or other activities/uses if the cars park elsewhere or their use diminish If We count the amount of cars parking in a street or using it, we can have data to make better decisions on streets widths, infrastructure, uses, etc. We can transform data and information into knowledge about this, through using a map showing the streets uses by periods of times, prove an initial design or implementation criteria, then see results in reality or in an urban simulation and finally analyze the results.
