This is a picture of the Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) in Chennai, India. The picture was clicked on a peak hour in the morning in one of the largest residential areas in the city. VISIBLE INFORMATION : 1.There seems to be very less crowd that seems to be using the station and travelling to wherever they want to. 2.Another very noticeable thing is the size of the station in terms of area that seems so bare. INVISIBLE INFORMATION : 1. The emptiness of the station at peak hours convey a sense of unsefety to the passengers, especially women. 2. The absence of support facilities like information center, food kiosks, etc. portray a feeling of incompleteness despite the station is maintained properly. 3. Lack of other public transport facilities like buses, share autos, etc contibutes to the fact that people who like in places that aren't at walkable distances to the station aren't using it. 4. The spaces in the stations can be utilized for creating supermarkets, play areas, shopping stores to encourage more people to use the station for transport and these aditional facilities.
