What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? In Mongolia, the dominant fossil fuel is still coal. 70 percent of total production of coal is exported and 29 percent of coal goes to power stations to generate electricity other 1% goes to other industries and households. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? Dominant fossil fuel goes to the “other” section of consumption mainly for the residential uses. As a country with cold winter, Mongolia has higher energy demand for heating purposes. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? I’d like to make policy that promotes wind and solar power plants that produce low carbon footprint. According to the recent estimation, Mongolia has a 1100 GW of potential wind power capacity. If we could make use of this capability, we would establish clean and sustainable energy source to substitute former coal based energy source. *https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-06-07/tokyo-nights-lit-up-from-1-700-miles-away-is-big-mongolian-bet Also on a city level some streets lights solar panel to provide energy so I’d like to make this widespread to the city streets.
