I do not own the rights of this photograph. This photograph was taken in a favela in Brazil. An example of a material which is distributed globally and unavailable in many regions of the planet is paint. In this example the paint is inferred to have been imported into Brazil from a south east asian paint producing country. It is necessary to import this paint into this economy as without it this material would have to be produced in Brazil and would veer critical resources into an industry which already exists internationally. The paint is incorporated into the building to further enhance the life standard in this habitat.
