This is a picture of the newly constructed cable stayed bridge in bhopal, which is commonly known as Raja Bhoj setu.It is one of the few cable stayed bridges in india.The history of cable stayed bridge date back to 1595.Although first modern cable stayed bridge is stromsund bridge in swedan which was completed in 1955.Cable stayed bridge were not constructed in India until 1992.The first cable stayed bridge in India was Vidyasagar setu which was designed by Schliach Bergermann and Partner.This was made possible only because of globlaisation. Because of exchange of technology,it became possible to construct a cable stayed bridge in small city like bhopal only in 2017. This is the impact of globlaisation in building construction.Cable stayed bridge which were only constructed in developed countries made their way to India but they were designed and constructed only by foreign companies.Now in 2017,India is capable of constructing such bridges in a city like bhopal and Raja Bhoj setu is an example of this.
