Stocks and flows concept can precisely express how the city works. It is a complex system consisting of different factors. In my opinion, in the city of Weimar, the most important stocks and flows are transportation, multicultural society and green areas. As I mentioned before the concept is a complex system in which stocks and flows are connected and interacting with each other and thinking about our city we should consider all of its aspects. I would like to focus specifically on the aspect of transportation. Streets of Weimar are well connected and supplied with public transport. Although, there is only bus connection, for the city small like Weimar it is sufficient. I think that the further analysis of street network may indicate roads which need transformation, for example, it may show areas of shared space. In my opinion, the concept of stocks and flows may help us better understand how our cities work and how to improve them.
