1) a. Kyoto, Japan b. Ottawa, Canada c. Lisboa, Portugal d. Boulder, Colorado e. Denver, Colorado 2)i. Trust (you can trust others and your surroundings), ii. Average disposable income (all have enough), iii. Sustainable accessibility (walking, biking, transit), iv. Calmness (healthy degree of noise), v. Vibrant Public spaces 3) My city is Ottawa. I. Trust = very good. It can improve if it improves less privileged neighbourhoods and redirects future growth into the urban core. II. Average disposable income = Good. It can improve if it stops sprawl and provides more sustainable transportation infrastructure and services. III. Sustainable accessibility = fair. It needs to provide sustainable mobility alternatives to the around 30% of the population that lives outside the greenbelt. IV. Calmness. Very good. It can maintain it by investing in electrical vehicles for the new transit systems. V. Vibran public spaces = good, it can become very good if the city redirects future growth to increase density and have more people living closer together, so that public spaces are more used.
