When visiting New York City in the year 2016, I had an experience from a specific part of the city of New York that shook me immensley. Times Square is what most people recognized as the middle of New York City, in this sector of the city, we can observe a street which is recognized as the main attraction of the city which contains a huge amount of electricity throughout it. From the insanely big TV Screens hanging off of buildings to the actual signs contained in every store, Times Square is from a personal experience the most electrically dependent place I have visited. It is not only this area itself that stands out as dependent on infrastructure in New York City. This is due to the fact that the city´s tall buildings, big flow of people throughout the day, and the consumption created by all of its inhabitants make it depend on infrastructure greatly. Only by recognizing the thousands of people that go to work in Manhattan on a daily basis, and the fact that New York trains are the busiest ones in the world, due to the massive flow of this people either working or living in the city, we can recognize that the dependability of New York City on the infrastructure being explained in Week 8.
