This is a photo of Old Town or Dubrovnik in Croatia. This city has been around long before the use of electricity and still has areas cut out where the water would run through when irrigation systems would run through cities. Since not much has been done to the exterior of the buildings to keep that old look of the town, power lines have had to just be strung from building to building on the outsides of buildings. This along with some water pipes are very visible, which has made it difficult to adapt to new technologies over the years since its construction in the 7th century.
