FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2017-06-18 by Alessandra Weiss
This photo was taken in Victoria, BC, Canada from a rooftop parkade downtown. The visible information includes the scale and style of buildings, the climate and vegetation, and the amount of people utilizing this space between the buildings on a beautiful day. Two elements of invisible information that could be extracted here: -There are not many people utilizing this space, and perhaps most people move through -This space is not designed for people to stay This brings up the question of, what is it that activates these interstitial spaces and makes them more appealing? Not only to move through, but perhaps as an opportunity to stay, or to connect within the urban environment.
