As we are able to see there are a variety of building materials used in the façade of a residence in Trivandrum, Kerala. Here it is used as a building material which symbolizes a globalized economy. It is required to be treated against bore attack for better durability for the same natural reagents borax and boric acid is used. The use of this wood is for non-load bearing structures and to add a sense of aesthetic appeal. This wood is grown near coastal regions as it can grow both in agricultural and non-agricultural situations.
