Photo shows that energy is used almost everywhere, especially in construction. The materials produced for the buildings and the machines for constructing them, even the workers need transport from and to work. Statistics from 2014 shows that the dominant fossil fuels used in Sweden is oil. Sweden import 19.28 millions of tonnes of oil, almost all of that oil goes to the refineries that will produce about 27.38 mtoe. 11.82 mtoe of that will be exported and 9.70 mtoe will be used for the country. The country uses this oil for mainly for transport, but also industry, others and non energy use. The rest of the oil will fill bunkers. Since almost all of this fossil fuel goes to transport, I would try to improve that aspect. First thing to do is to finance the reaserch for electric engines or engines that uses non fossil fuels, that would be in trucks and cars, since these are the ones that transport. Airplanes uses fossil fuels also but i think this is to costly at the moment to try to enhance the technology. If you lower the demand for oil there will be less imports to the country, therefore less production of oil. The capital used for oil could then be used for even greater research in these non fossil fueld engines, making them even better for the environment. Maybe even to make them clean the air while they are moving around. Second thing I would do is to improve the road systems. Making smarter connections from the cities and also in the cities. I would try to make the cities car free, only service veichles allowed. This is possible by improving public transportation. If you improve the transportation system you would need better and smarter roads/systems. If public transportation is less expensive, faster, more confurtible etc you would chose it over your car. You could in some cases not allow traffic at some streets. You could also stop building parking spaces for cars in the city, building them outside and making the visitors take public transportation is a good idea. This will reduce the cities climate in form of less gas and heat that contributes to urban heat islands. You could also build more roads for bicykles, making the city more accessable by bike. Building electrical car spaces etc would improve and support the act of buying electrical cars. These acts will decrease the oil demand and production. The money we buy our oil for can be used for technology research that would benifit our own production of energy. Instead of buying energy from other countries it would be environmentally better to make our own so the country would be energy sustainable. This research could for example be in nuclear energy. Improving the energy created from nuclear and also improving the safety from the production. Waste management of nuclear energy must be research greatly by modern standards. We must be able to reuse it to improve our environment since the waste is radioactive and destroys the nature. Improving safety meassures on nuclear reactors are also a big aspect of this research. If we could achieve nuclear safety, waste management and energy production needed, we would not need fossil fuels that contribute to CO2. Improving the countries energy demand by technology is another way to lower the demand. Statistics show that the person is using more and more energy each day. This is because we havent found a sustainable energy source yet for our ammount of people. If we could find a sustainable way to make energy, we could in fact use technology (which uses energy) to even lower the energy input. Improving the countries environmental awareness is another option. Sweden is already good at recykling and are environmentally aware as a whole, but with even greater understanding of the environment and how we live our lifes, we could improve it even more. This will reduce the usage of energy in all aspects such as households, industry, wastemanagements, event, daily life etc. This option would be successfull by education. If we take care of the environment more, we wouldnt need to import or produce as much energy as we are now. The main goal is to try to eliminate fossil fuels.
