In the picture above, one can see a bamboo car-park facility in Amsterdam, constructed by Guadua Bamboo with materials imported from Columbia. In the past, such a wide-reaching distribution of construction material would be seen as not just very difficult but also unnecessary. However, with the new age of sustainability and better transportation and shipping technology, there is a new impetus to innovative construction which supports such globalisation of construction material.
