First, identify the most important stocks and flows (at least three) entering, staying in and eventually leaving your area (or city). The three most important are as follows: 1)Water (the Cauvery River) - Water for drinking and other uses mostly flows into the city from the cauvery water. Water through massive pipes is taken from the river bed to the city. Some of the water is converted to packaged drinking water and maintained as a stock. The other quantum of the water flows out into lakes 2)People - Since this city offers many opportunities due to the large amount of IT options, people flow in from different parts of the country into the city and this has lead to the city being made up of around 60% immigrant population. There is also a small flow of people moving back to their natives one retirement or finding jobs at new locations 3)Fruits & Vegetables: Due to the large fertile lands outside the city and the larger purchasing power of the citizens a huge quantity of vegetables and fruits move into the city on a daily basis. Imagine and shortly describe how these stocks and flows could change in the future for the benefit of your area. 1) Water - The flow into the city from the Cauvery river could be a challenge as there are rising demands from the farming communities to get a larger share of the river water for agrarian activities. The city will need to undertake water conservation and rain water harvesting to "generate" water within the city. 2) People - The flow of people are going to increase to the city, the spurt for this will be the growing number of captives being set up in the city. The city will need to find dwelling space, transportation and other supporting infrastructure for this. 3)Fruits and Vegetables: There would be much change in this other than the increase in demand to the increase in the flow of people to the city
