This is the Local weekend market on street named "Kad-Kong-Ta" in Lampang, Thailand. The area has its history that it was an old commercial center over 100 years and it still keep their charm and sustainability to the local life. As we can see many visible datas on the photo such as, There has no high-rise building along the way and most of them still has modern brick-made building mix with good-condition Thai and colonial style architecture on the same street. The products that shown on the photo give us know that they still use the local household products, not much souvenir for foreigners. The Invisible information shows that - 1. The good-condition yellow line on the street gives information that the street still usable for vehicles during the week-day. It means the street can be "mix-use" space between pop-up market area on weekend (only for walk) and traffic way on weekday (only for vehicle). As you can see the stall over the street is more temporary than permanent, it give us information that it can be moveable when the market event ends. 2. Local goods still sell-able and usable (not for souvenir), it means that the people in the area still maintain their local lifestyle. Still keep their traditional way to live. 3. There has no High-rise building in this area despite the fact that this area used to be the center of commercial. This means it has possibility that the area will be restricted to building codes. The town regulation may control this area and needs to keep the way it be like this. .... and the final invisible information, If you can see the red sign on the right of the photo and if you can read, It will shows you that people in this area (and most of Thais) loves to foretell because the red sign is about fortune telling. :)
