What is the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? The dominant fossil fuel in my country is by far oil (but I have to mention, that I had no idea that we are importing coal) The oil both comes from the countrys own production, from import, and almost half comes from import of oil products. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used in your country? The oil is mainly used for transport. However we do export about half of the oil that has been imported or produced. Create a new policy. I am very sad to see sustainable sources are only 3,5% of the production and import of energy sources in Denmark, I would have assumed it was more. So I think I would have two main focuses in a new energe policy 1) more sustainable sources and 2) cleaner methods of transport. Denmark has had a lot of focus on wind and solar power, with a special focus on large sea based windmill parks. However, I think it is time to implement other sustainable energies as well, such as hydro power – after all the country is almost surrounded by water. From the ETH example it could also be very useful to have better ways of storing the energy from sustainable sources, I believe we currently start to export the excess of energy produced instead of storing ot for later use. The solution to the transport problem cannot be less traffic, but we need to focus on cars running on electricity or biofuel, and make it cleaner that way. A good way to start would be to have all public transport converted into clean traffic.
