This picture was taken by me on a trip, this is the Airport of Amsterdam (Schiphol). Stocks and flows that are entering, staying and leaving the city: We can see a obvious flow of people, some of them are students that are coming to this country to get a master degree (or PhD), this students eventually could become from entering to staying elements. Also there are people that is just passing trough the country and local people that is traveling because of business or turism. Also in this picture at the left we can see some restaurants that are not from the area (not traditional food), so they need to import the ingredients, these ingredients can be considered also as flows. These stocks and flows could change in some ways, for example, if a lot of scientific people is coming to the country, this will improve the future of the country in the scientific way.
