This is the photo of a newly constructed Automobile showroom in Bangalore. As can be seen from the photograph this building uses Glass extensively. This has obviously helped in faster completion of the building and may also have potentially provided the building a better appearance. However such extensive use of glasses increases light reflection and increase temperature in the vicinity thereby causing much inconvenience to the citizens and to the environment. These glasses are also imported from Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and similar countries. Thus this building has a component of the global economy in its structure, most of the material is locally sourced from India however these glasses are imported. There is a potential to replace these glasses with local building components like marbles, stones etc which are available in the local economy
