building- World Trade Park, Jaipur this building houses both a shopping arcade and office complexes. this building is designed by a group from Bangalore, India. The language of building planning, typology and design are all foreign concepts. the steel used in the structures are produced in India. the glass panels are imported from china. the lighting systems are imported from Thailand. the escalators and elevators too are imported from foreign countries. the list of countries from whom materials are imported vary from Asia to Europe. It's interesting to note that such range of imports are done to city which has been major supplier of construction materials for almost every great building of India in history. a project of a city which is a major source of marble, granite and glass needs to import majority of its material only because of the choice of its material irrespective of its context.
