1. What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? <Australia> In diagram it is showing that oil, coal, natural gas are main fossil fuels in Australia. Most of coals are exported. <Japan> Japan is the same, oil, coal, and natural gas however there is no exports of those to other counties. 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? <Australia> It is mainly used in transport and industry. Transport takes up 25.44Mtoe and Industry takes up 24.42 Mtoe. <Japan> Same again. Transport takes 71.6Mtoe and Industry 88Mtoe. Probably because of number of productions and population the amount of energy consumption is 3-4 times bigger than Australia. 3. How to improve the sources and the consumption of energy? As it was shown in Swiss Sankey diagram, Australia needs to less rely on Coal, natural gas and oil but more on Hydro power and nuclear fuel. Same apply to Japan. Also two of those countries consume energy in transportation with oil. therefore if we can use electricity to reduce the amount of consumption of oils as an replacement energy source for transportation say like Tesla cars, electric locomotive train in Berlin. Also in 2014 Sankey diagram in Switzerland, Hydro product shows one of the major sources of the energy. If I could create policy I would like to invest and improve renewable energy systems and especially solar energy. Introduce funding for solar panels installation to all existing houses, buildings and add new regulation that all new buildings including housing to have solar panels which will not only reducing CO2 emissions but reducing electricity bills for all owners and users of the buildings. In addition, no gas for hot water and cooking in those buildings but all in electricity to create heat.
