I have always imagined Lima as a constant flow of people. Since the middle of the 20th century, the increase of migrants from the rural areas has become more and more noticeable in the growth of the urban landscape that has been very informal and lacking of territorial planning. (see maps from the site http://blog-citio.blogspot.pe/2010/?view=snapshot) (image taken at the periferia of Lima, the informal city) Also there is a change in building materials, and it can show the economic differences in areas of the informal city using more economic and traditional materials to build, and the financial and rich areas of the "formal" city, where you can see the use of more high-tech materials.
