The transportation system used by most of the Brazilian metropolises has increasingly impacted the urban design of the cities. In Belo Horizonte, much of the population depends on public transportation to get around, but there is still a portion to be considered that makes use of the automobile daily. And the city has been changing and growing to the benefit of individual transportation, generating daily traffic jams, pollution of the environment, distancing from urban centers, among others. Although Belo Horizonte has invested in a fast transportation system (MOVE), a large part of the population does not benefit from it, besides presenting a series of problems that still need to be solved.
