San Miguel de Allende´s city center is commonly recognized as a national attraction as well as a very touristic location in Mexico. Having a very well recognized history as well as a big value to Mexicans, the government of the city have disallowed cars from going inside of the city center. This governmental decision was mainly based on the importance given by tourist and even citizens to have a better experience of the streets of San Miguel de Allende which have an amazing beauty, in Mexico there are some cities and spaces that are recognized by the government as "magical" and that means that they are overly protected and valued. By making this decision, the government creates an environment as seen in the image taken by myself in the city center of San Miguel de Allende. The information that can be perceived at first is the presence of pedestrians only, and accompanying the beautiful, and old infrastructure of the city the experience gives a wider span of invisible information. The first piece of invisible information that is going to be analyzed has to do with the fact of the city being differentiated as a "patrimony of humanity" by UNESCO in the year 2008. The information visible in the image goes along with this recognition due to the fact that it has become a very respected city since that year, and the tourists being attracted to the city have been growing every year. The image showing a normal day in the city of San Miguel de Allende is perceived as having a great environment as well as a large amount of people walking through the streets. The invisible information behind this is the respect that has been created during the past 9 years of having a growing city as well as a good dynamic of only welcoming pedestrians to enhance a better experience. The second piece of invisible information is that the fact of not having the presence of cars or other vehicles in the city allows for the environment to we well taken care of as well as having a non-polluted environment present. As we can see the vivid streets as well as the creation of a great possibility of getting to know the city with no pollutants nor allowed gases in the community. The preservation of the environment has been of major focus for the city, and this has given the possibility to hold more visitors that are certainly amazed by the city´s cleanliness as well as respected streets. These two distinctive presences of invisible information have allowed to collect big data from the city's past as well as the people visiting it and create a better way of understanding it by using the techniques shown in the lectures given during Week 3 of Future Cities.
