The building construction in Vietnam, especially the urban areas in Ho Chi Minh City is lartly affected from the globalized economy. There are more and more tall building and many of them have tried to copy the design from Western countries. As a result, glass is over-utilized in those building which is not really suitable for a tropical country like Vietnam. The traditional architecture/houses are faded away. In addition, the density is very high due to the rise in population and the lack of proper plan in distribution.
