I came up with a citizen design science idea for the city of Curitiba in Brazil, as I am currently completing my semester project on sustainable mobility in Curitiba. This intervention in the form of a competition, ensures active participation by citizens in coming up with solutions for a prominent issue within the city. It allows citizens to propose sustainable mobility ideas to the government and possibly, if they win, continue developing the idea. The competition would also raise public awareness as to the issues faced by experts trying to make the city more sustainable, if the citizens realize the issues around cars by trying to solve the issue themselves, then possibly they would gain a mindset that understands that some compromise must be made by car drivers.
