Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? As Odense is a really small city, with small density and high wind velocities it is kind of hard to appreciate UHI effect. Maybe you can feel that in the city centre is warmer than in the outskirts or the rural areas. As it has multiple parks and the river flows along the city, you can also feel the difference in temperature there. I could only provide one picture because the system does not let me upload two so I am showing a picture of the immediate rural area next to the city. You can observe some buildings of the outskirt of the city in the background and this is a lake (frozen because of the winter) and the forest is all towards the sides and the back of the picture. Which are the measures you would propose? Due to its location, I think it actually makes it more comfortable to live in the city if its a little bit warmer. However, if I had to actually change something I would try to arrange the buildings in cube separated by parallel streets as shown in the first example of the simulation in the video 4.3. The city is growing a lot and that is probably what I would recommend. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? As I said, UHI is not really a big problem in my area so I do not have any knowledge of policies planning to reduce its effect.
