In Villavicencio, as in most of Colombia it is built with bricks of stoneware(Gres, arcilla, in Spanish). This is the material with which most houses and buildings are made here, mainly because it is taken from our mountains, it is economical, and it is favorable in any of our climates; With the gres are made bricks, pavers, blocks, floors, tiles, facades. This is bonded with cement, or special blends. The structure of the buildings are made in concrete, and are complemented with the stoneware for the enclosure. Now it has begun to use steel structures, because its installation is faster but is more expensive.
