FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2017-05-09 by Agnes Wagner
The two invisible information on this picture, taken from my balcony, are the television antenna and the cars. The television antenna could become a source of knowledge to know when the people living in this hose are at most probably at home. Most of the people living in this area switch on their tv when they are at home to have some kind of "background" voice. Most of the people switch on whatever they like or watch certain shows. From that information and some more gathered it is possible to find a perfect matching neighbor. For example when some people love to watch all games of one certain soccer club, they might appreciate having a neighbor with the same love. It might be easy to find such kind of fitting pairs, but nevertheless it is urgent to mix the people because otherwise it is more likely to get some hard to handle places in town. With the car the invisible information could be the way the people drive every morning to work or they way they take to the next supermarket. And perhaps a person living not to far away is going to the same supermarket during the same times as well and they could share a car and safe money and create less emissions for the environment.
