Most liveable cities based on my experience and visits thus far: 1) Hamburg, Germany 2) Vienna, Austria 3) New York, USA 4) Munich, Germany 5) Nashville, USA Most important factors of a liveable city: 1) infrastructure 2) workplaces 3) education 4) housing 5) culture I am referring to my hometown Innsbruck in Austria. I would consider it a very liveable city in context of my five factors. It offers a great ratio of culture and workplaces. So there is absolutely no need to improve these factors. But still the housing is a big problem here in Innsbruck because the costs are exploding. Students and "normal" workers are not able to afford an appartment or flat within the city and as far as i know cities like Munich or Vienna are even worse, but the big advantage of these cities is the higher amount of wages people get paid. In Tyrol, the province where Innsbruck is located, people tend to earn less money for the same work than in Vienna. And also the offers of labour are very limited here in Innsbruck, simply because of its small size. And with the size of a city you could determine the quality of infrastructure. Innsbruck offers a great infrastructure in terms of supply and goods and also for public transportation, but in terms of technology we are very limited. Just think of all the great possibilities you could see in the USA! Uber, Lyft, just to mention two apps. And all the fast ways to travel within the city by subway. These are the reasons why other cities like Hamburg or NY are definitely more liveable than my hometown Innsbruck.
