The 5 most liveable cities in my opinion are: - Tokyo - Singapore - Bern - Ottawa - London 5 Characteristics of a liveable city: - a great respect for pedestrians, and people in general; which means providing sufficient open spaces for public activities - providing proper public transportation - protection against terrorism - protection against pollution and other environmental bad effects - the right to a stable and prosperous life in the city Status of my own city: - in the city Jeddah, people are not habituated to read their destinations using their feet; they don't walk, they mainly use their cars. Maybe this is caused by the increased heat outside, but a great time of the year actually allows people to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. - there is no public transportation available in Jeddah, except taxis (that are not entirely secure, except some) - truth be told, Jeddah is a very safe and a well protected city - in general, the atmosphere does not suffer from chemical or another type of pollution - all in all, it is a good city to live in, where you can have a permanent house and an access for luxurious spaces
