While it is completely apparent in the picture that interior lighting during the day is not necessary, you can still see that many lamps, in fact all lamps are turned on (with no great input). This shows that society here is very dependent on electricity for lighting, and does not count natural lighting equivalent to artificial lighting. Even the street lamps are most of the times still on. This increases the use of electricity in inefficient ways, and awareness needs to be raised, to save money and make use of what already exists here in plenty: sun rays.
