FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

A photo taken near Omonoia square in Athens. Omonoia has been a square of historic importance and a important crossroad since planned nearly 200 years before. I choose this photo because it shares two great stories about Athens. The first one is the suburbanisation of the city and the devaluation of the core city since the development of Athens' metro network and the ring roads. The devaluation has been that intense that real estate prices dropped 5 to 10 times in less than 20 years. The second story is the one of immigration from less developed countries. People in seek for a better future crossed Aegean to reach Greece, a bridge to central Europe. Many were unable to continue their journey and stacked in the crisis-hit Athens.
