I chose an office area of San Isidro district in Lima; there you can see many of the typical finishes in a building of this type and the main building materials: 1. Glass: it is processed in Peru but comes from China (78%), Chile (5%), Mexico (5%), Brazil (4%) and other countries. 2. Aluminum bars, sections and tubes: Produced in Peru and imported mainly from China, Colombia and Spain 3. Steel: Local production largely supplies the demand for long products (more than 60% of the total), while flat products are imported (around 80% of the total), according to specialized industry sources, Comes mainly from China, Brazil, the United States, Venezuela, Spain and Germany. 4. Concrete: Mainly covered by domestic production (7 companies), about 4% is imported mainly from the Dominican Republic with 67.1% of the total, followed by Colombia with 18.5%.
