To me, 3 of the most important stock and flow that stay, come or go for Lyon are: - Oil: one of the ten french refinery, and is located only a few kilometers from the city center. It is also the production site of many chemical elements, distributing them in what is called the "chemistry valley" in France, a dense area of chemical industries. - Tourists: being one of the most attractive city in France by its cultural life (opera, theatres, historic monuments, dance biennale, sports venue), the city has grown to meet the demand of many people to come: two major railway station inside the city, the fourth biggest airport in france. - Density: being an old industrial city, and those industries closing, lots of industrial areas are becoming residential, and we see a lots of newcomers living in this new neighbourhood. This is why Lyon is one of the most active city in France in its architectural scene.
