There are a number of State Forest & National Parks in our area. We have clean air (despite the major coal fired electricity generator), Clean water with low erosion and soil loss. These forest provide significant carbon sequestration services. We have attractive recreational walks and paths and local Aboriginal people know of the 'bush' medicines. In isolation we are lucky. However population and agricultural pressures have impacted many areas beyond our local region. this has led to loss of species and biodiversity. Much is to be done to reverse this trend.
