1. First, identify the most important stocks and flows (at least three) entering, staying in and eventually leaving your area (or city). I guess food, water and workers. 2. Describe your findings based on the concept of stocks and flows by presenting the necessary information or examples. Food- In my city (Sao Paulo – Brazil) there are not any Agricultural areas, all of vegetables and fruits come from the cities around. Most of food industry as well. Water- There is a water reservoir in the city and others nearby São Paulo. All off buildings have its own water tank to stock water, since lack of water from the supply network is very common. Workers – in my neighborhood, in a central area of city, is one of the few areas where the offices and retails are concentrated. For that reason many people come from the suburbs to work in this area, that remains busy during all the day. But at night and weekends people come back to their houses in the distant neighborhoods and the area become empty. 3. Imagine and shortly describe how these stocks and flows could change in the future for the benefit of your area. I believe if this region of the city had more residential use and if it was more affordable to live in the central area of the city, the problem of people leaving the area after work, all the heavy traffic that the generate would be improve also and use of car could be reduced. I imagine that if the city had more diversity of use and mixed use areas it could be more interesting. For example if it had an agricultural area inside the city to reduce the distance of transportation of food.
