2. The nearest town/city to where I live (Henley on Klip) is Meyerton. It's a small town with buildings having between 1 and 3 floors on average on a few areas, while there maybe urban heat island occurring I think it is not as big as in densely built up areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, etc. Henley by contrast is a semi-rural residential area with lots of green spaces. The temperature differences between the two places is not as big as in the areas used for the study in part 1 of this exercise. I was unable to upload pictures for the 2 places for comparison. 3. Integrate work, living, play, learning areas. Decentralize the industrial/commercial areas so there is space to introduce more green areas. Create walking and biking areas, improve public transport to reduce both traffic and the air pollution resulting from car exhaust fumes. 4. There isn't as far as I know.
