The route chosen for this exercise went from my house to my work. I have four transportation options on this route, each one with its peculiarities: - Route 1: In this first route the transport is done through a bus that does the transport in all the districts of the city. To get to work, I have to walk 170m, then take a bus that makes about 20 stops until arriving at the destination, which makes this transport time longstanding and tiring. Arriving at the destination, I walk another 400 meters to the office. This bus line runs until 10 pm, has no air conditioning and is always crowded, becoming uncomfortable. - Route 2: The second route uses a city tour bus, which roam only on the two main avenues. To make this route, I need to walk much more and this bus is also about 50% more expensive than the previous one. - Route 3: This is the route and means of transport most used, because besides being faster and comfortable, the cost with fuel becomes cheaper than buying the bus ticket. However, as this is a tourist town, during high season the route that is usually done in 18 minutes can take up to 45 minutes due to the increase in the number of cars on the streets. - Route 4: The route can be made by bicycle at a time that approaches the car route, using an alternative means of transport. The only drawback is that this is a very hot city in summer, the bike path is not tree-lined and before reaching the office district you need to climb a very steep hill. In order to make this transport more accessible, it would be ideal for the company to provide a place to store bicycles and take a shower, ensuring that this mode of transport is more widely used.
