The picture is taken in "plaza de los heroes caidos" a plaza/monument designed by Lorenzo Castro and built by the goverment in momory of the fallen soilders. waht we can see in the picture as "visible" is an infrastructure for transport, one of the widest avenues in bogota av. el dorado. we see a transport system entrance by a bridge, we can see people waiting in the edge of the plaza, we can see a big flag, and buildings on the background, all of diferente styles. in the background the montains, a constant frame in bogota's landscape. as to make the invisible visible we have to take in count other variables to obtain more information from this photo, one of them the time of the day. The picture was taken a 5 pm when all the workers were leaving their offices, so this explain why are people on the edge of the plaza, also we can se from a far that the bridge is occupied, wich means it is a important element of infrastructure that conects not just two neighborhoods but also to the massive transport sistem, Trasmilenio. this information may generate more questions , for example where are people going?, they live far or close?, is the transport enough? why the people is dispersed along the edge of the plaza? is this disorder affecting the trafic on the avenue as people stops the same bus along the edge? as we can see when we analyze the invisible we becan to find problems and qualities of the places. another invisible information is the lack of people in the plaza it self... just by looking the picture it maybe because of the time of the day, but actually the plaza is empty most of the time... as an architect I think it's because there isn't something to invite the people to stay, no comerce, no benches and the building around are from the military and goverment soy maybe is not a free space for people to stay. but sometimes when there is a military graduation or event the plaza is crowded, and usually closed to the public. so what we see is a public plaza but it is really just used for transit. the invisible information gives us information to work with it, but we must always go further and try to truly unravel the condition of the invisible, that will lead us to the closest true condition of the urban space.
