FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

This photo was taken by me on my trip to Bangkok over the spring break. Two forms of invisible information are the use of the overhead walkways, and the number of vehicles/ type of vehicle that drives on the road. First the use of the over head walkways; This photo was taken early on a week day morning and as it can be seen that no one is on the walkways, it can be assumed that this is because people are at work, and during rush hours these walkways are heavily used because of the size of them. From this photo it seems also that a lot of people are driving cars but actually most people in this region primarily drive motorcycles. in this way they have adapted to fit the maximum number of people on these roads in order to deal with the large amounts of traffic during these rush hours. I think that from what I have seen this city is implementing ideas on expanding roads and making them safer already and also designing better walkways to encourage people to travel short distances by walking in this humid country.
