The following image is that of the construction of a residential apartment complex in the city of Hyderabad, India. It is a true example of the globalized economy, since it embraces the global aesthetic of such buildings by placing glass and ACP (Aluminium Composite Panels) on the entire exterior facade of the building. It also uses the quintessentially global material i.e. Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) for the structural elements such as beams and columns. Although most of these materials are manufactured in India owing to the vast construction and manufacture industry, the Aluminium Composite Panels are generally imported from China.
