1. The dominant fossil fuels used in mu country (Russia) are oil products, natural gas, heat and electricity from power plants - most of all, nuclear and hydro. 2. These fossil fuels are mainly used in industry, residential use, transport and non-energy use industry. 3. If I had a chance to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy in Russia, I would take several steps as follows. Firstly, I would direct resources to build wind and solar power stations across the country. Secondly, I would launch a program that helps nuclear and hydro power stations to develop, and I would not support coil and oil power stations as they cause high CO2 emissions and air pollution. As for improving energy consumption, I think a special program replacing oil-powered cars with electricity power vehicles is necessary. I would also publicly spread useful information about the importance of reducing daily energy consumption through media, encouraging people to lower their energy demands by offering taxation cuts to such individuals, for instance. Finally, special measures would be taken to teach both organizations and households in Russia to save energy on a regular basis. I would definitely invite renowned experts to develop applicable programs of energy saving as well. The attached picture illustrates these steps.
