In the image you can see the great residential buildings that are being built in the central part of Santiago, in the so-called "historic center". In this type of construction, as can be seen in the world trends, the usual materials are concrete. This type of construction is the way in which it has been built both in terms of materials and design, positively impacting the habilitation of homes in places very connected and close to work centers, academic offer and public services, but on the other Side, have impacted the quality of life of the old houses and neighborhoods that are still maintained and have been affected by both the added noise (floors with many apartments) and lack of light. However, within this type of construction, there are some cases in which materials have been diversified by some that appeal to green facades and on a smaller scale, but that translates into very expensive and exclusive spaces, being an exception within the Rule in the construction of the city.
