FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2017-03-27 by Edward Frank
Photo was taken with location in Sembawang in northern part of Singapore. 1. Comment all the information that is visible in this photo - public housing types, private housing types, low rise housing, high rise housing, transportation, roads, green spaces, lighting visible spaces, utility, construction sites, public walkway, recreational spaces. 2. Identify and present two "invisible information" - urban dynamics, and the interactions between people and environment. 3. Select one of your choices from the previous question and describe how this invisible information can become knowledge and contribute to the planning of a more livable urban space - urban dynamics model permits computer simulation of alternative policies to improve city management. Policy testing can help to achieve goals for growing cities and to revive declining cities.
