Provisioning services: For the last years there is the opportunity for citizens of Thessaloniki to cultivate their own groceries by vollaborating with the Aistotle University of Thessaloniki. The faculty of Argiculture, Forestry and Natural Environment offers some space in its farm for the public. The farm is located in the eastern exit of Thessaloniki, in the joint of the avenues towards Thermi and Agia Triada. It covers an area of 18000 ha.On the image is easy to figure out that citizens cultivate their own fruits and vegetables which they are not allowed to sell. It is a really nice opportunity for fresh and without any pesticides farming goods( no pharmacy porducts are allowed to be used). The students and professors of the faculty provide their services and nowledge to the citizens through checking the quality of the products,giving advice on how and when to cultivate and the appropriate plantes for every season and ground condition Regulating services: Local climate and air quality:There are trees across almost all roads in the center of the city. Habitat or supporting services : Habitats for species: There is a naturally formed zoo park. It is located Unfortunately there are cages for wild animals but the environment is well built to provide home for many little animals like rabbits. Vegitation and shading are also very strong in the zoo park. It is located in the north part of Thessaloniki, in an area called Kedrinos lofos. Cultural services: Recreation and mental and physical health: The newly renovated seafront with many thematic parks is one of the best places for physical activity and social life. There is a park calles, The water garden, with little water falls and lakes with beautiful vegitation where people can enjoy some cold wind during hot days and they can play and jump between the paths that connect the little lakes.
