FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

This is an image taken from one of the most marginalized neighborhoods of my city, called "Manrique" and in the background you can see the rest of the city and its contrasts. In this neighborhood, although in the past everything was violence and war, in the recent years has undergone a process of transformation and now it is possible to visit it and enjoy from there its beautiful view and peculiar urban groups. What is visible here is the small houses with their tin roofs and brick walls, the public transport arriving to the most remote place of the city and you can also see how these people have organized themselves, to form really beautiful and interesting living quarters(in my opinion). In the back part of the photograph you can see various invisible information, as each of the neighborhoods in the background are different, each with different social dynamics and architectural forms, not to mention how different they are economically. Also the city is that big, that in the background of this picture is still Medellín and the weather there is 5 degrees colder than the place where the picture was taken It is important to have this invinsible information present when building the city, since each area of this city is composed of a different type of user and we have to take into account the environment and its thousands of variations. Another invisible information that cann´t be seen with the naked eye in the photo is that the city has more than 4 million inhabitants and the internal displacement is increasing, creating a city without limits, without resources (for some) and very polluted. It is important how these figures also help us to understand the behavior of cities and how to intervene each part one of it.
