Making the invisible-visible This picture was taken by me, it’s the view from my house in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. In the photo you can see the contrast between downtown, the center of the city highlighted by a cluster of high buildings and the neighborhood on the side with small buildings, beside the difference of height their is a lack of green areas and a big number of parking spots, you can notice that the city is projected more to the cars than the people, a big mistake in urban planning. The invisible information of mobility can become knowledge and contribute for a more livable space. A city has to be planned to offer good options for locomotion, good public transportation and paths for bicycles and pedestrians are a great solution too, in my view, as the weather here is very hot, the sidewalks should be covered by trees to protect from the sun and provide more air quality, also should have more furnitures, trash cans, benches, lighting poles, creating places where the people can rest, meet and make part of the city too.
